Man with Van Bromley is committed to conducting all aspects of its operations with integrity, fairness, and respect for human rights. This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement explains the steps we take to identify, prevent, and address modern slavery risks in our business and our supply chains. It applies to all staff, contractors, agency workers, and suppliers associated with Man with Van Bromley.

Our Zero-Tolerance Approach

We have a clear zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking, including forced labour, debt bondage, child labour, and exploitation. Modern slavery is a criminal offence and a fundamental violation of human rights. We will not knowingly work with any individual or organisation that engages in or condones such practices.

All employees and those working on our behalf are required to act ethically, comply with applicable laws, and uphold our commitment to human rights. Any breach of this policy by employees may result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal. Any breach by a supplier or contractor may result in termination of the business relationship.

Our Business and Supply Chains

Man with Van Bromley provides transport and moving services to domestic and commercial customers. Our supply chains include vehicle leasing and maintenance, fuel, equipment suppliers, uniform and workwear providers, and occasional use of subcontracted drivers or partner removal services.

We recognise that parts of the transport and logistics sector can be vulnerable to labour exploitation, particularly where temporary, agency, or subcontracted labour is used. We are committed to taking proportionate and effective steps to reduce these risks.

Supplier Standards and Audits

We expect all suppliers, subcontractors, and business partners to share our commitment to preventing modern slavery. To support this, we are implementing the following measures:

We require suppliers to comply with all relevant labour, employment, and human rights legislation in the jurisdictions where they operate. We expect them to provide safe working conditions, fair pay, and lawful working hours, and to prohibit forced, bonded, or involuntary labour.

We conduct due diligence checks on higher-risk suppliers and subcontractors. This may include requesting information on their own modern slavery policies, labour practices, and worker protections.

We reserve the right to conduct audits of selected suppliers, either directly or through a third party, to verify compliance with our standards. Where concerns are identified, we will seek corrective action plans and monitor progress. Persistent non-compliance may lead to suspension or termination of the business relationship.

Reporting Concerns and Speak-Up Channels

We encourage all employees, agency workers, subcontractors, and suppliers to report any concerns or suspicions of modern slavery or human trafficking connected to our business or supply chains. No one will suffer retaliation or detrimental treatment for raising a concern in good faith.

Concerns can be raised with line managers, senior management, or through existing internal reporting channels. Reports may be made anonymously where this is legally permissible and practical. All reports will be treated seriously, handled sensitively, and investigated promptly and, where appropriate, in collaboration with relevant authorities.

Training and Awareness

We aim to increase awareness of modern slavery risks among relevant staff, particularly those involved in procurement, supplier management, and workforce engagement. Training and guidance materials will be developed and reviewed periodically to ensure they remain proportionate to our business model and risk profile.

Monitoring, Review, and Continuous Improvement

We are committed to continually improving our approach to tackling modern slavery. We will review this statement and our related procedures at least once every year, or sooner if there are significant changes to our business, legislation, or identified risks.

The annual review will consider the effectiveness of our actions, feedback from staff and suppliers, and any incidents or reports received. Where necessary, we will update our processes, strengthen contractual requirements, or introduce additional controls to enhance protection against modern slavery.
